The DeMarini Prism+ is not a power bat. While its two-piece design and responsive barrel provides “whip” and “trampoline” effects, its ultra-light construction doesn’t bring enough “mass” to the ball. The primary objective of the Prism+ is improved bat swing speed and bat control.

Swing Weight & Feel

The well-balanced DeMarini Prism+ is designed for maximum bat swing speed helping Contact & Slap Hitters bring the bat quickly through the hitting zone. With this lighter feel, the hitter also improves her ability to make swing adjustments to the ball. And the Prism+ uses DeMarini’s proprietary connection between the barrel and handle to lower vibration and “sting” on off-center hits (and in cold weather) so hitters can swing confidently even when they don’t catch it right on the sweet spot.

Durability feedback on the DeMarini Prism+ is above average if used by Contact Hitters and Slap Hitters - not Power Hitters. And it should last well into the second season of play.
