Easton GHOST ADVANCED for POWER HITTERS Review
AT A GLANCE
The Easton Ghost Advanced is an entirely different bat than the Ghost Unlimited. The Ghost Advanced is a balanced, two-piece bat. In -8 and -9 drops, this bat is built for Power Hitters who need more bat swing speed and want the benefit that comes from the slight “whip” that two-piece bats provide. This creates top-tier exit velocity when the hitter has solid contact with the ball. Because of its balance and potential power, the Ghost Advanced is sometimes referred to as a Balanced Power bat.x
Balanced fastpitch bat option from Easton enables Power Hitters (especially younger players) to maximize their bat swing speed
Two-piece bat provides a slight “whip” that combines with the Ghost Advanced’s high-performing composite barrel to create an impressive “trampoline” effect
Overall construction results in top exit velocity when this Ghost Advanced is squared up
Comes out of the wrapper “hot”, at peak performance
Best fit for aggressive Power Hitters who want to maximize their bat swing speed and improve their exit velocity
The Coach’s pick as the top Balanced Fastpitch Softball Bat for Power Hitters
Updated 03/23/2026
The Easton Ghost Advanced provides its power through maximizing bat swing speed and barrel whip. When a Power Hitter comes through the hitting zone with her top swing speed, the ball will leave the bat with the best exit velocity she can generate. This power shows up as:
Power & Exit Velocity
Power Hitters who attack pitches but need to improve bat swing speed AND want a slight bat “whip” that combines to maximize their personal top exit velocity. Hitters who frequently hit off-center pitches will find themselves hitting more balls hard that used to be weak flyballs.
Swing Weight & Feel
The balanced Easton Ghost Advanced bat swings very smooth and easy through the hitting zone. Lesser-strength (and younger) Power Hitters will be able to maximize their personal bat swing speed with total confidence, allowing them to focus on pitch speed and location. You will see hitters more aggressive at the plate, attacking the pitch.
Sweet Spot & Forgiveness
The Easton Ghost Advanced has a large sweet spot, albeit a bit smaller than the Easton Ghost Unlimited. Power Hitters will still see more off-center hits carry further and threaten the fence instead of weak flyballs.
Break-in & Durability
The Easton Ghost Advanced requires no break-in work, coming ready to play at peak performance. Any break-in work is primarily for the hitter to get comfortable with the swing and feel of her new bat.
Durability reviews on the Easton Ghost Advanced are mixed, like most composite bats. What we consistently see:
Holds up well for Power Hitters with clean contact
More stress placed on the barrel by Power Hitters who mis-hit often
Bat fatigue starts to set in by the end of one season of play
Note: Some reviewers have complained that Easton has been difficult to deal with regarding warranty claims and returns
The Easton Ghost Advanced bat is not ideal for the strongest Power Hitters or older hitters who would overpower this balanced, two-piece bat. Hitters who constantly pull the ball foul should also avoid this bat.
FINAL VERDICT
The Easton Ghost Advanced is an outstanding balanced, two-piece fastpitch softball bat for aggressive Power Hitters who need better bat swing speed. Increased swing speed coupled with the significant “trampoline” effect of the Ghost Advanced will help Power Hitters (especially younger Power Hitters) to generate their personal top exit velocity.

Price vs. Value
At the premium Price (MSRP) of $499.99, the Easton Ghost Advanced makes sense only if you fit the hitter profile.
You ARE paying for:
Improved bat swing speed AND two-piece “whip” to help Power Hitters reach their maximum power output (exit velocity)
A smoother swing that builds confidence
Consistent barrel response
High-end composite performance
You ARE NOT paying for:
End-loaded power or increased barrel mass to maximize exit
Durability-first construction

The Ghost Advanced’s two-piece design and its Premium Cushioned Grip does a good job of minimizing “stinging” vibration on mis-hits or in cold weather. This helps younger (and newer) fastpitch softball players who might get discouraged from bad hit or cold weather hits.
Firm line drives with carry
Hard hits through the gap to the fence
Consistent distance on repeated solid contact
My final advice:
Use it sparingly in practice (other than break-in period), saving it for games
Don’t use it in weather under 60 degrees
Always check the bat’s Certification standing for the Association, League or Tournaments where you plan to use it
Make certain you understand both Easton’s and your selected retailer’s warranties and return policies
